Overview

Aladdin is a poor street orphan in Agrabah who meets Princess Jasmine, who has snuck out of the palace to escape her restricted life. Aladdin is recruited by the royal vizier, Jafar, to retrieve a magic lamp from the Cave of Wonders. Aladdin ends up keeping the lamp, which contains a powerful Genie who can grant three wishes. Aladdin pretends to be a wealthy prince to win Jasmine's hand, but Jafar steals the lamp and takes over the kingdom. Aladdin uses his wits to trick Jafar into wishing to become an all-powerful genie, trapping him in a lamp.
