Mater must use his mechanical knowledge to expose the conspiracy and save Lightning McQueen.
Takeaways
The World Grand Prix is supposed to show off a new eco-friendly fuel, but it turns into a battleground for energy control. The old 'lemon' cars are terrified of losing their oil profits, so they secretly sabotage the races to make alternative fuels look incredibly dangerous and force everyone back to gas. Mater's goofy personality hides his real strength, which is his deep knowledge of rusty car parts. He's able to crack the case and identify the villain because he knows exactly what kind of rare engine is hidden under the hood. In the end, it shows that paying attention to small details and staying loyal to your friends is what really saves the day.
