Overview

An orphaned human baby is raised by gorillas in the jungle after his parents are killed. He grows up trying to fit in, but he doesn't match their physical abilities. He works hard to adapt, using tools and agility to protect his ape family. Everything changes when a team of British explorers arrives in the jungle. Tarzan meets Jane and learns he isn't alone in the world. He's torn between the human world and his gorilla family. The greedy hunter Clayton plots to capture the gorillas for profit, forcing Tarzan to choose where he belongs in the end.

Takeaways

The jungle has its own natural order, and the arrival of humans who only care about making money threatens to destroy it. Tarzan is caught between two worlds, using what he knows about humans to help Jane and her father understand the wild. The gorilla leader, Kerchak, is super protective and doesn't trust outsiders, which makes sense since guys like Clayton are looking to trap the apes for profit. Clayton tricks Tarzan into showing him where the gorillas live, proving how dangerous it is to trust the wrong people. Ultimately, Tarzan and his ape family have to fight together to save their home, showing that family is about who stands by you.
