Takeaways
Verona Beach is torn apart by a cycle of revenge, where the Montagues and Capulets keep fighting just because the other side did. Any attempts at peace are ruined because every insult or fight has to be met with more violence. Romeo and Juliet try to rise above this feud by getting married in secret, hoping their love can bridge the gap. But their plan falls apart because of a simple, tragic mistakeβthe letter explaining Juliet's fake death never gets to Romeo. Believing she is actually gone, he kills himself, which leads to her doing the same. It is a heartbreaking reminder of how miscommunication can turn a desperate plan into a total tragedy.
