Overview

Princess Elsa of Arendelle has magical ice powers that she struggles to control, accidentally injuring her sister Anna when they were children. To protect Anna and the kingdom, Elsa is isolated in the castle. On her coronation day, Elsa's powers are exposed, and she accidentally triggers an eternal winter across Arendelle. Elsa flees to the mountains, and Anna must set off on a journey to find her and save the kingdom, partnering with a mountain man named Kristoff.

Takeaways

Keeping Elsa locked in the castle to hide her powers doesn't work out. When her secret is exposed at the coronation, she loses control and accidentally freezes the entire kingdom. Elsa runs off to the mountains to be free, but she leaves the people without a queen. Anna's journey to find her is all about bringing her sister home. Arendelle is saved when Elsa learns to accept herself, proving that love and open communication are much better than isolation when dealing with fear.
