Overview
Po is a lazy panda who works in his family's noodle shop but dreams of learning kung fu. He is unexpectedly chosen as the Dragon Warrior, the one destined to defeat the escaped villain Tai Lung. The martial arts master, Shifu, and the Furious Five don't believe Po has what it takes. Shifu has to change his teaching methods when he discovers that Po is motivated by food. The story follows Po's training as he prepares to face Tai Lung and save the Valley of Peace.
Takeaways
Shifu's usual training methods don't work on Po at first because Po isn't a typical warrior. Things change when Shifu realizes Po will do anything for food and uses that to train him. Po's skills improve dramatically when Shifu uses food as a reward. Po is the only one who can stop Tai Lung when he threatens the valley. Po's success shows that you don't have to fit a traditional mold to be great, and that masters have to adapt their teaching styles to help their students succeed.
