Overview
Sophie is a young hatter who is turned into an old woman by the Witch of the Waste. She leaves home and finds work as a cleaning lady in the moving castle of the wizard Howl. She befriended the fire demon Calcifer, who powers the castle and is bound to Howl. A war breaks out between neighboring kingdoms, and the king calls on Howl to fight.
