Overview
Miguel wants to be a musician, but his family has banned music for generations due to a historical betrayal. He sneaks into the tomb of a famous singer to borrow a guitar, which transports him to the Land of the Dead. He learns he must get a blessing from his ancestors to return to the living world before sunrise. Miguel teams up with Hector, a forgotten spirit who is fading away because nobody remembers him. Miguel discovers that his famous idol actually murdered Hector to steal his songs. He returns to the living world, restores Hector's memory, and ends the family music ban.
