Takeaways

In the world of organized crime, loyalty isn't about friendship; it is about survival and doing exactly what you are told. Frank Sheeran rises because he doesn't ask questions and does the dirty work without letting his feelings get in the way. But when Jimmy Hoffa's loud mouth and stubbornness threaten the mob's massive cash flow from the union, even Frank's close friendship with him can't save Jimmy. The bosses will always choose their business over a single person. In the end, Frank is left with nothing but his regrets, showing that selling out your friends for the mob only buys you a lonely, empty retirement.
